Chinese archaistic jade onyx lidded vessel/vase, 21.5 cm. An undated archaistic carved flask with elliptical base, flattened piriform body and conical lid; to the edges two zoomorphic handles; to the body bands of scrolled ornament on a hatched background; to the lid similar decoration, surmounted by a dog figurine. Weight: 2 lb. 3 oz. = 980 grams, Height with a lid: 8 ½ in. = 21.5 cm. Property of a London Gentleman; acquired before 1990. Condition report: Fine condition.
