Excellent Factory Cased Individual Inscribed Thomas Bland & Sons Double Action Revolver The top of the barrel is marked "T. BLAND & SONS 106 STRAND LONDON." The left side of the barrel has the caliber marking "450" and two British proofs. Additional British proof are found on the cylinder between the chambers. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number over "TB&S" at the front and is inscribed with the name "J.P. FLEW" at the rear. At the time of this writing, J.P. Flew could not be identified. The rear cylinder face is marked with the number "1." Equipped with a blade front sight and sighting groove on the top strap. Fitted with a checkered one-piece grip. A lanyard ring is mounted on the butt. The partitioned case is lined in blue felt and has a paper Thomas Bland & Sons label on the inside of the lid. Included with the case: two cartridges, oiler and bore cleaning rod. Established in 1840, Thomas Bland continues to manufacture firearms with offices in London, England and Benton, Pennsylvania. For over 150 years the company has produced fine quality firearms. The revolver retains 97%-98% original nickel finish showing some minor flaking (mostly contained to the cylinder). The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The original case with accoutraments is very fine with minor handling/storage marks and some wear and a few tears in the lining. Nearly all of the original factory label remains.
