World War II German K-43 (duv) Code Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with ZF4 Sniper Scope and Mount This is a very good example of a late WWII German K43 sniper rifle produced by Berlin-Lubecker firm in 1944. This was the standard G/K 32 type semi-automatic rifle used throughout WWII. The left side of the receiver is stamped: "Eagle/214" Waffenamt proof followed by serial number "(4105i)/K43/duv44." The bolt carrier has the latch on the right side and the hollow cocking knob on left side. It has the military style front blade and the military tangent rear sight graduated form 100-2,000 meters. It is fitted with the late-war pattern laminate stock and laminated wood handguard. There is a single "Eagle/214" Waffenamt proof in the pistol grip area with a restamped serial number and "214" Waffenamt proof on the underside of the stock. The left side has a double "Eagle/214" Waffenamt proof. The original scope rail still mounted on the right side of the receiver, and it comes with a late-war ZF4 sniper scope and original mount installed. The mount is stamped with an "Eagle/214" Waffenamt proof towards the front end and serial number "7242" towards the rear end. The scope is a WWII ZF4 model marked on the right side "Gw Z F 4/62033/ddx". It is complete with an "aye" coded, "K43" marked magazine, an original cleaning rod and front sight cover. It has an original German 98K pull-through cleaning jag and field manual inside the buttstock compartment. Manufacturer: Berlin-Lubecker Model: K-43 BBL: 22 inch round Stock: laminated Gauge: 7.92 mm Mauser Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 4105i Class: Curio & Relic Long Gun Condition: Very fine with 95% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The stock and handguard are both very good overall with nice clear stock proofs mixed with light handling marks. The front end of the stock has been lightly sanded, and the handguard appears to be a replacement as it is somewhat narrower than the stock and it has an old coat of varnish. The scope and mount retain 85% plus of their blue finish thinning overall with clear markings and somewhat occluded optics.
