Cased Two Barrel Set Engraved Belgian Browning Pigeon Grade Superposed Shotgun Manufactured in 1958. Both barrel sets have a solid rib, dual bead sights, checkered forearm, 2 3/4 inch chambers and are numbered to the gun and marked "1" and "2" respectively. Barrel set 1 is choked improved modified/modified and has bore diameter at 9 inches from breech that is .734/.731 inch and wall thickness at 9 inches from breech that is .033/.0345 inch, and barrel set 2 is choked skeet and has a bore diameter at 9 inches from breech that is .732/.731 inch and wall thickness at 9 inches from breech that is .034/.0345 inch. The frame is a French gray finish with detailed scenes of pigeons in flight on the left and right sides on a tight intricate scroll background with large rosettes at the hinge, floral bouquets on the underside and oak leaves and acorns on top just rear of the breech. Single gold washed trigger and tang mounted selector/safety. Mounted with a factory checkered stock with cheekpiece and an added vented White Line recoil pad. Stock measurements: 14 1/4 inch length of pull, 2 1/2 inch drop at heel and 1 1/2 inch drop at comb. Comes with a Browning takedown case. Barrel set 1 retains nearly 97% original blue finish showing some moderate spotting/pitting. Barrel set 2 retains 97% original blue finish showing a few patches of minor spotting. Both barrels show some forearm wear and a few minor handling marks. The frame is taking on a mottled appearance. The trigger guard and break lever are a mottled gray patina. The wood is very good with blemishes in the forearm checkering, revarnished buttstock and a number of minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good showing minor handling/storage marks and high spot wear.
