SN 3. Cal. .45ACP. One of the very first Krausewerke .45 caliber Lugers that was closely modeled on the test pieces evaluated by the U.S. Military in 1907 test trials. Standard configuration with 4.75" bbl having drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. There are no markings on the chamber or middle toggle link, though the extractor is marked on the left side "LOADED" and an intertwined "GL" is on the rear toggle link. The number "3" is on the front of the frame, nowhere else. The take-down lever, trigger, safety lever, mag release are strawed with the rear toggle pin and each of the grip screws fire blued. Checkered walnut panels. Unmarked mag with strawed follower and walnut plug. Presented in a beautiful Krausewerke presentation case, covered with black leatherette with chromed corner reinforcements, lined with forest green felt and partitioned for an ammo box, cleaning rod, "GL"marked take-down tool, fire blued punch, and a spare unmarked mag. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: The pistol, box, and all contained accoutrements present as new excepting a single microscopic ding on the right side of the bbl extension. This ensemble was purchased new, manually cycled a few times, disassembled, reassembled and then put away for posterity. Impossible to upgrade! 51568-24 LMA C&R
