Barbados.- Small manuscript diary kept by Julia Rooke in a John Goldmsith's Almanack for the year 1843, , describing the voyage from Bristol (after leaving Luckham, Somerset) to Barbados, with a small pencil sketch of an "extraordinary phenomenon seen from the Fanny, March 4th 1842", the rest of the diary featuring notes on a ball at Government House, dinner parties, visits to races and other social engagements, a.e.g., green cloth, light handling wear, 12mo, 1842.
