Here's some Early Century Items, coming from cigarette advertising. Antique Presidential Silks from Mogul Cigarettes These come from the Early 1900s, perhaps around 1910, or so, images of U.S. Presidents, and their dates in office, printed on little pieces of silk (approx. 1 3/4" x 3"), and branded at the top with "Mogul Cigarettes. Back in the day, cigarette makers used all kinds of gimmicks to get people to purchae their product, most notable, sports cards, and, of course, these Presidential Silks. There are Nine (9) Presidential Silks included in this lot. They are; John Adams (1797-1801) Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809) John Quincy Adams (1825-1829) Martin Van Buren (1837-1841) James K. Polk (1845-1849) Zachary Taylor (1849-1850) Millard Fillmore (1850-1853) James Buchanan (1857-1861) James A. Garfield (1881) This is a good get if you are collectiing Presidential Silks, as they may fill some holes in your collection, and you can use to trade for ones you need. Or, if you collect Antique Cigarette Advertising, and don't have any Presidential Silks yet.
