AMERICAN AND ENGLISH STERLING SILVER MESH PURSES AND RELATED ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising an Art Deco mesh purse by Binder Bros. of New York City, NY with a blue glass cabochon, engraved decoration, and attached wrist strap, a mesh coin purse by George A. Henckel & Co. of New York City, NY featuring frame having Art Nouveau-style flowers and a chain strap with finger ring, a round compact by The Thomae Co. of Attleboro, MA featuring foliate engraved decoration to top with interior having a mirror, and a small coin holder by Liberty & Co Ltd. of Birmingham with 1908 date mark being of pendant watch form having light periwinkle guilloche enameling with gilted decoration. Each with maker's mark and sterling fineness mark. Total weight of purses and coin holder including non-sterling components: 5.400 ozt.

  • Dimensions: Binder purse 8" x 5" OA without strap, 5 3/4" L strap.
  • Circa: First half/mid 20th century.
  • Condition: Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, one or a few dents, and/or slight bending; mesh purses with possibly one or a few losses to jump rings; compact with old makeup remnants; coin holder with losses to enameling mostly along edges.

Shipping

We can ship most items with the exception of furniture and other large and/or heavy items.

Shipment of won lots to an address different from that on file may require verification, which can cause up to a 30-day delay in shipping.

Once a package is ready to ship it is weighed, measured and processed through the USPS and/or UPS system in order to determine cost of shipping including insurance and additional services (e.g. delivery confirmation) as applicable.

Our packing service is billed at a prorated fee of $18.00 per hour, with a $10.00 minimum. We use recycled materials whenever possible at no charge to the buyer. If we use purchased supplies such as boxes, etc., that cost is passed on to the buyer.

The actual cost of shipping/insurance and packing/materials cannot be determined until packing is completed. Once known, the shipping charges are applied to the buyer's invoice and he/she is notified of the cost by email (or by phone if we have no email).
