Title: The Land of Israel, According to the Convenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob
Author: Alexander Keith - Alexander Keith was a Church of Scotland minister. He was a graduate of Marischal College. Eldest son of George Skene Keith of Keith-hall and Kinkell, where he was born at the manse in 1791. From 1816 to 1840 he was minister of the parish of St. Cyrus, Scotland.

At the Disruption of 1843, Keith left the established Church of Scotland with the dissenters who formed the Free Church of Scotland.

Keith is probably best remembered for his book, "Evidence of the Truth of the Christian Religion Derived from the Literal Fulfillment of Prophecy," which has gone through numerous revisions and many editions. It is still in print in a 2005 edition from Kessinger Publishing. (Information courtesy of Wikipedia)

Book Details: "The following treatise was commenced with the intention, on the part of the author, of drawing out a few retrospective and prospective sketches of Judea and Judaism. On his return from Palestine, he was urged by the esteemed friend to whom it is inscribed to publish the substance of an evening's conversation in his hospitable house. He naturally reverted to the covenant with Abraham, as the groundwork of such an essay. The subject alone, in connexion with kindred themes, called for a more full illustration than he at first anticipated. And as the subsequent essay, which thus originated, may be considered as, in pat, a sequel to his Treatise on the Evidence of Prophecy, it may also form the introduction to other Scriptural topics, of momentous import Gentiles as well as Jews." (First paragraph of the author's preface)
