The weapon comprises a long hardwood shaft of tapering cylindrical form, reinforced along the upper section with a continuous steel strap extending from the head down to approximately the sixth washer. The shaft is secured to this reinforcing plate by a series of rivets fitted with alternating iron and brass flower-shaped washers, creating both structural integrity and decorative rhythm. The lower end terminates in a metal ferrule. The head of a distinctive and uncommon L-shaped tabar or farsa form, forged from wootz steel, the blade drawn out and shaped in the forge rather than cut, retaining a sharp cutting edge. The inner angle forms a pronounced open notch, connected to the haft by a solid steel bridge, a feature noted by Robert Elgood as characteristic of more "tribal" variants of this weapon type. The upper portion is surmounted by a forged steel finial in the form of a beaded ball, lending a balanced vertical emphasis to the composition. This type of farsa or tabar occupies a transitional position between a functional weapon and a ceremonial staff, associated with Indo-Persian and Ottoman traditions in which such arms could denote rank, authority, or regional identity. The combination of wootz steel, structural reinforcement, and decorative riveted mounts suggests a piece of both practical durability and visual presence, likely intended for display or formal use rather than active combat.
