A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SOLID SILVER FUJI MOUNTAIN BOWL c.1900c.1900

Antique early 20th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver bowl, double walled, depicting the view of mount Fuji from a lake, with boats and small island with banzai trees, on a matted hand hammered ground. The top applied with a shaped floral rim and standing on a round spreading base. The base is Hallmarked Sterling, (used on items made for export, 925 standard), these marks are used primary in during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and makers mark Kuhn & Komor (also known colloquially as K&K, was a Hungarian multinational luxury jewelry and specialty retailer, having headquarters in Yokohama, Hong Kong and Shanghai. K&K produced jewelry, sterling silver, china, crystal, stationery, and personal accessories. K&K was renowned in East Asia for its luxury goods, also being called the "Asprey of Asia.)

In Good Condition - some dents to the base of the bowl.
