Description: A magnificent and exceptionally large Chinese nephrite jade horse. Masterfully carved with features typical from Ming Dynasty. Shown with elegant lines incised to form the mane and tail, undulating musculature skillfully carved with an organic sense of movement to form the body. Overall great proportions and precisely executed details. The stone of a deep sea green tone with inclusions and dark added highlights. The stone well suited for this subject. The whole nicely and evenly polished with a soft smooth finish throughout. The stone likely sourced from the Khotan region of Northwest China.
