A letter from Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein (scribal handwriting) to Rabbi Yeshaya HoCohen Marcus, Av Beit Din of Chicago. Slabodka, 1911. At the beginning of the letter Rabbi Epstein gives thanks for Rabbi Marcus's efforts on behalf of the yeshiva. Later in the letter he describes the yeshiva's bad financial condition at length. The Rosh Yeshiva's signature is at the end of the letter. Before us is a historical letter about the condition of the "Knesset Yisrael" Yeshiva thirteen years before its immigration to Israel. Document paper, 28cm. Condition: Good. Very slight damage on the margins. Folding signs.
