Condition / Notes: This handsome antique decorative set is bound in brown cloth with bright gilt lettering and ornamental designs to spines and front covers. These solidly-bound books with gilt edges show external wear, with rubbing to the spines, minor cracking to the spine edges and minor loss at the outside corners of the boards. The bindings are firm. The volumes have edges tinted red and marbled endpapers. The pages are clean and without markings. This work is profusely illustrated with plates (photogravures, wood engravings and typogravures) with (printed) tissue guards. There are also numerous textual illustrations. A publisher's leaflet entitled "Hints from a Famous Binder" is laid in at the front of the first volume.

Insurance is available and recommended (please note that by declining insurance, you assume the risk of loss or damage in transit) on shipped packages at a flat rate of $1.00 per $100.00 of coverage for domestic shipments and $2.00 per $100.00 of coverage for all international shipments (please let us know if you are adding insurance to your total).
