Details: This lot includes the signed Robert Kennedy letter and Kennedy photos shown in the corresponding image(s). The letter, on the stationery of the U. S. Senate (Committee on Labor and Public Welfare), dated March 13, 1965, is addressed to George Carroll of Jamaica, New York. Kennedy thanks Carroll for the assistance provided to him and his New York staff during a stay at the Statler-Hilton. The letter reads in part:

"It was reassuring to know that just down the hall there were people you could turn to for assistance in problems ranging from the name of a leader of a small upstate county, to running off the mimeograph 8,000 copies of Christmas carols, to learning the deadline for a news release of a Long Island weekly."

Also present are a photograph of George Carroll with Robert Kennedy and another of Carroll present at an event with Senator Edward Kennedy.
