1913 Production Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster Manufactured in 1913, the second year of production. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45" below the ejection port. Marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" ahead of the serial number on the right side of the frame, with the "VP" Verified Proof and "K" inspection mark on the left side of the trigger guard. Outfitted with a round top rear sight, wide knurled hammer, long trigger, short grip safety, and smooth flat mainspring housing. The trigger, side catch, safety and hammer are all finished in a rich niter blue, and the front sight has been shortened and fitted with a brass bead. The replacement barrel is marked "P" on top of the hood, with an inverted "F" on the left side, "C" on the rear of the lug, and "5" ahead. Fitted with checkered grips and an unmarked pinned lanyard base magazine. Included with the pistol is a brown leather "Mexican loop" pattern holster and a soft-bristled bore brush. The front sight has been modified by filing down on both sides. The grips are good, with some moderate overall wear, flat spots and dents. 70% of the bright original nitre blue remains on the small part. The holster is fine, with some light scuffs and cracks. Mechanically very good.
