18th Century Documents.- Letter in Latin without signature to the Reverend John Magauly in Prague. The author announces that he immediately wrote "Bonaventurae de Burgon of the death in Dublin "belectissimi our Henrici [.] Tam chari amici "[similarly brother of the recipient], whose death and burial with a large number of people are mentioned. The sender also adds that this loss now makes it absolutely necessary "absque omni tergiversatione" the presence of the recipient in Dublin, in order to take over the family situation so that "domus (-] conservetur et prosperet", especially with regards the sister of the deceased, that «asseverat se numquam nuptura», and to the future of the nephews, since «nullus melius instruat parvuluos quam dominatio vestra.» Dublin, February 12, 1712; with a letter in English, signed «your most affectioned humble brother», addressed to a certain Jack, probably a member of the same Megaulay family, in which the writer comments favorably on the progress of the negotiations for the marriage of the recipient's sister," a good and vertuous young woman, and marriagable" who brings a dowry of a thousand pounds, and who is moving to Tully to help her grandchildren, three pages, address leaf, browning to lower margin, some losses to paper, splitting, folio, 1711-1712; with a collection of other letters and papers (quantity)
