The group includes issues from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints dating from 1944 to 1964. Specific dates present are 1944, 1947, 1950, 1953, 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1964. The coins feature reeded edges and the standard Washington obverse and heraldic eagle reverse designs. Metal composition is 90% silver and 10% copper with a fineness of .900. These 90% silver quarters were struck prior to the transition to copper-nickel clad coinage in 1965.
