The specific dates and mint marks present are 1941-D, 1943-S, 1946-D, 1947-D, 1952-D, 1954-S, 1958-D, 1963, and two 1964 issues. The coins feature the standard Washington obverse and heraldic eagle reverse. Mint marks for the Denver (D) and San Francisco (S) facilities are visible on the reverse of several specimens below the wreath. These coins represent the final era of circulating silver coinage in the United States before the transition to copper-nickel clad compositions in 1965.
