SN 213908K. Cal. 7.65mm. This is a pre 1940 crown over "N" proofed PPK probably purchased by military procurement office from Guns on hand at distributors in keeping with policies put in place after WWI. This particular specimen hand stamped "N.11. Fl. H. Kdtr. Mhm." which indicates Nummer 11 Flughafenbereichkommandanturen Mannheim, which translates to "Number 11, airfield area command Mannheim". This was part of a permanent fixed base system that handled supply and administrative tasks. Aside from this marking this is a typical pre-war commercial Walther PPK with attractive brown grips and Walther banner mag with matching brown finger extension. CONDITION: Extremely fine high lustrous commercial finish with some high edge wear near muzzle and the front end of the slide as it typical with finish thinning to gray patina along the bore line noticeable on the right side. Grips appear undamaged. Safety is a gray patina. Bore is shiny and bright with some frosting. This is a great opportunity to acquire a fine pre-war Walther PPK with a particularly special & desirable set of markings. 51390-5 C&R
