Frequently Asked Questions
The nominal listing fee helps eliminate duplicate listings, resulting in higher-quality listings overall. It allows us to streamline the site, helping your listings to be more prominently featured and more easily found. The listing fee is also being put toward technology improvements, both to listings and to the live online bidding portion of AuctionZip.
Additionally, it will aid us in offering increased regional marketing products, including geography-specific targeting and opportunities to promote your sales within your local community, which we know many of you have been asking for.
After your listing is created, you will be prompted to enter credit card or debit card information to pay for your listing before it is published. You will need to enter credit card or debit card information to pay for each individual auction that you post.
You have the option to click "Save and Finish Later" on any new listings. This will create an unpublished listing that you will be able to go in and pay for when you have your credit card handy.
The $20 fee is per auction. There is no per-item fee.
You still have the option to publish multi-day listings, but each day will be treated as its own individual listing and will be subject to the $20 fee. When you create your multi-day listing, you will be prompted to pay the $20 fee, which will publish the first day of your sale. The remaining days of your auction will be saved as unpublished listings, which you can manage in your Auctioneer Home. (For example, if you are promoting a three-day auction, the listing cost will be $20).
You may publish your listing as TBD, which is still subject to the $20 listing fee. If you do not edit your TBD listing within 90 days of the publish date, it will revert to an unpublished state and will no longer be visible on AuctionZip. It will remain as an unpublished listing in your Auctioneer Home, and can be re-published at a later date by paying the $20 listing fee.
You may change the date of your auction up to two times within the 90 day window following the publish date. If you change the date for a published listing more than twice within the 90 day window or if you change an auction date for a listing to outside the 90 day window following the publish date, it will revert to an unpublished state and will no longer be visible on AuctionZip. You will still be able to access the unpublished listing in your Auctioneer Home, and can re-post it by paying the $20 listing fee.
You can manage all of your listings - both published and unpublished - in you Auctioneer Home.
You have the choice to purchase a standard AuctionZip listing for $20, and can upgrade to a Featured Listing for an additional $150. You can upgrade to a Featured Listing by going to your Auctioneer Home, clicking "Manage Listings," and clicking "Upgrade this Auction."
As long as you post your live catalog first, and use that to automatically generate your listing, you will not need to pay the additional $20 listing fee. That said, should you create a listing manually before your live catalog is published, the manual listing will be subject to the $20 listing fee.
Association members will be able to continue to post listings to their association website for free, with the option to post to AuctionZip for a $20 fee.
