As many of you may or may not be aware of, I have had some health issues that have affected the way I conduct my auctions. It has been increasingly difficult to keep up with the fast paced daily operations of the auction house. With that said, I have connected with a long time friend and auction customer, Daniel Reavis of South Paris to assist with the day to day operations of the auction hall. He brings an extensive knowledge of antiques, years of business experience and a new back office staff.
We plan on having large monthly in person auctions, with a variety of antiques, jewelry, coins, paintings, toys and firearms, etc. Please watch auction zip for upcoming events! As always we are looking for estate clean outs or any amount of items that you would like help with liquidating.
When selecting an auctioneer for an estate or business liquidation there are many questions you, as the seller, should ask:
Is the auction firm a trustworthy firm?
Arsenault Auctioneers have been a well known and respected auction house since 1982.
Where will they advertise for my auction?
All auctions will be advertised on auctionzip, various online advertisement platforms, and newspapers.
Will they provide an itemized list and a signed contract before they leave with my items?
Absolutely, all consigners will be provided a signed contract, and detailed list of items.
Are they going to charge me a pick up fee for the items I put on consignment?
No fees of this sort will be charged.
What is their commission rate?
Variable, but competitive.
Again, we pay all expenses and we'll leave the property clean and tidy. As stated perviously, we are always interested in acquiring Coin Collections, Jewelry, Silver/Gold, Pottery, Toys, Firearms, and any collections of large quantities; for that we offer Professional Photography and Large Campaign Ads with fully detailed descriptions. We employ a great staff, one that I would put up against any auction company in New England and further.
