Large, rare, old hand painted metal flour storage barrel WHEATSHEAF FLOUR MILLS with scene of a farmer in field with windmill. Has hinged lid, 27.5 in tall and 21 in wide. Good condition. NOTE: The Wheatsheaf Mill in London was a major flour mill built in 1869 by the Manchester-based McDougall Brothers -closed 1982.

Lot of 3 rare Usher's Whisky advertising items in blown and cut glass. Consists of pair of 9.5 in carafes (chip to one rim) and 7.5 in tall pitcher. Interior has a ruby-stained bubble with company name and enameled patent number on underside. Circa 1900. NOTE: Usher’s whisky has a rich history, beginning with Andrew Usher II (1826–1898), known as the “father of blended Scotch whisky”

Lot of 3 scarce English Whisky blown and cut glass advertising bottles with enamel: Pair of Catto's VOSH Whisky, Aberdeen decanters, 8 in high (not including replaced stoppers). Plus a Robertson's Dundee Whisky carafe, 8.5 in tall. All are in very good condition. Note: James Catto established his tea and spirits business in Aberdeen in 1861, and it became one of the first to sell blended Scotch whisky. The "V.O.S.H." stands for "Very Old Scottish Highland," a common description for vintage Scotch at the time.

Rare Mt. Washington Crown Milano art glass bottle-form decanter with stopper. In opaque white glass with elaborate gilt designs and 3 winged cherubs. Has M wreath mark and number 1017 on base. 14.5 in tall. Condition: shallow flake on stopper, couple ground knicks around upper neck that are difficult to see.

Back also signed Cartier NY with gilt easel stamped EW&C Co. (European Watch and Clock Co) NY #764. Has silver bezel and ball feet, dial is 1.75 in diameter, overall 3 in diameter. VG condition, appears to be running fine.

Rare early 20th century Tiffany & Co. round, parcel gilt silver desk clock with powder blue enameled guilloche trim. This is a bezel set and wind 8 day clock with 1.75 in dial. Overall 2.75 in diameter with easel back. Appears to be running fine, excellent cosmetic condition.

Abraham Lincoln signed land grant dated Sept. 5, 1861, granting 160 acre parcel in Sunrise City, Minnesota to the widow of Private Claghorn of the Mass. Militia in the War of 1812. The first signature appears to be authentic by the hand of Lincoln, the second signature is a copy by W. Stoddard, his Assistant Secretary. Document is 10 x 16 in in size and in good condition, unmounted under glass in display box.

19th century oil painting on board, portrait of the PACKET SHIP TUSCARORA. Has old labels verso with artist name R. SALOMON (this is the artist's birth name & correct spelling). Also has Penn. Museum of Art label with provenance from George H. Stuart 3rd (relative of Geo. Stuart, founder of YMCA, a portrait of which is listed at lot #176). The painting is 13.5 x 20 inches, framed 17 x 24 inches and has allover craquelure to the surface (no issues under blacklight). Unsigned on front. NOTE: Robert Salmon 1744-1845 was a highly-sought after English marine painter who emigrated to Boston in 1828, leaving the country in 1842 with little record of his later life). The packet ship Tuscarora was part of the Cope Line, a Philadelphia-based shipping company owned by Francis & Thomas Cope, which operated a fleet of passenger sailing vessels between Liverpool, England, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
