- JOAN MIRO ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPH FROM THE SERIES "LITHOGRAPHS II" - HAND SIGNED - 20.5x17.5 in W/ FRAME Born in 1893, Joan Miró was a famous, Spanish Catalan artist. He did works in sculpture, painting, and worked as a ceramist. Born in the seaport city of Barcelona, much of his work was influenced by the scenic seaside town, and the distinct style that he found in the area. His father was a watchmaker, and his mother worked as a goldsmith, which means that he was exposed to the arts, and working with various forms of art, from a young age in the home. Some of the work that has been recovered, stems back to 1901, when Joan Miró was only 8 years old. Miro initially went to business school as well as art school. He began his working career when he was a teenager as a clerk. In 1911, Miro overcame a serious battle with typhoid illness, and at about the same time he abandoned the business world completely to devote his entire life to painting. Miro's early art, like that of the similarly influenced Fauves and Cubists exhibited in Barcelona, was inspired by works of Vincent van Gogh and Paul Cezanne. The resemblance of Miro's work to that of the intermediate generation of the avant-garde has led scholars to dub this period his Catalan Fauvist period. In 1918, Joan Miró was set up for his first solo exhibit at the Dalmau Galleries in Barcelona.
- "BELLE AND LOUISE" BY EMILE BELLET - HAND SIGNED GICLEE ON CANVAS - 27x23 in W/ FRAME Emile Bellet (1941-2022) was a self-taught artist who aligned himself with the discipline of the Fauves (French for “wild beasts”)—a school of artists who lived at the turn of the 20th century that includes Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Raoul Dufy, and Maurice de Vlaminck. They painted in vivid non-authentic color, and Bellet mastered this discipline with an impasto knife, using highly saturated colors to paint his elongated mannerist forms. Bellet’s paintings often center on a mysterious figure, representing a timeless and ageless femininity.
- "BRIDGES" BY JOSEPH A. BARBETTA - THE ENR COLLECTORS SERIES - 28.5x52.5 in W/ FRAME
- "A WALK OVER GIRL" BY W.H. MCENTEE 34.5x13 in W/ FRAME William H. McEntee (1857–1919) was an American painter and illustrator best known for his elegant portraits of women from the Belle Époque era, active in New York and Michigan. You can view examples of his portraiture and market listings on platforms like Artsy.
- "ODD COUPLE #2" BY BONNIE SHIELDS - DATED 1982 - NO. 221/1000 - 26x22 in W/ FRAME Bonne Shields and her mule, Iris Bonnie and her mule, Iris Meet Bonnie Shields There wasn't a time when I wasn't trying to draw something, but I claim my career started at the age of four. That's when I did my first piece for public display. Actually, it was a stick figure in black and green done on my grandma's kitchen wall. ? Depending on how you want to look at it, the success of this whole project hinged on the fact that it was executed to four-year-old height, therefore, easily ignored. ? When I wasn't executed at dawn, I took it as a sign. I must be an ARTIST! This premise continues to serve me well, obviously. ? I grew up in Southern Indiana, the daughter of professional photographers and hopelessly horse-crazy from day one. The fact that horses were a foreign country to my family deterred me not a whit. I got my first horse at the age of fourteen and it's been downhill at a dead run ever since. ? As a young adult, I found myself in middle Tennessee, which just happened to be one of the last strongholds of a serious mule culture. Attending the pulls and watching these incredible creatures working in the woods and fields, I became hopelessly hooked. A Mule Maniac. ? Through years of contact with mule people from all over, it was inevitable I hear about Bishop Mule Days out in the Golden West. The rest, as they claim, is history. ? My first Bishop experience was 1976. It changed my life, and my address. I moved to Bishop for a brief 18 months in '78 before locating permanently in Northern Idaho in April of 1980 - then Mt. St. Helens blew-up to celebrate! ? I've been a full-time professional artist since 1973 with my main claim to fame being my mule work. And, being the Tennessee Mule Artist is more than an empty claim, it's the state law in Tennessee. My ties to the mule and to Tennessee remain strong and I'm on the Board of Directors of the American Donkey and Mule Society. Since moving West, my art has expanded and enjoyed some success, especially being associated with Leanin' Tree, the largest publisher of Western greeting cards. ? And, YES, I HAVE MULES. I have 5 of 'em. ? In July of 1992, Boots Reynolds, Mike Scovel, and I conspired to form the Cowboy Cartoonists, Inc. along with several wonderful fellow cartoonists. Perfect bunch for a half-ass artist, don't you think? ? So, wander through this site and enjoy the scenery. Some of it is "serious" and some is - well, NOT! And, like my mule hero, Leroy, always said -"KEEP YOUR TRACES TIGHT!"
- PRINT "MASTER BEDROOM" BY ANDREW WYETH - 25.5x33 in W/ FRAME Andrew Newell Wyeth (/'wa???/ WY-eth; July 12, 1917 – January 16, 2009) was an American visual artist and one of the best-known American artists of the middle 20th century. Though he considered himself to be an "abstractionist," Wyeth was primarily a realist painter who worked in a regionalist style, often painting the land and people of his hometown in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and his summer home in Cushing, Maine. His father, the illustrator and artist N. C. Wyeth, was a key member of the Brandywine School of artists and illustrators. N.C. Wyeth gave Andrew art lessons as a child, during which he developed the skills to create landscapes, illustrations, figures, and watercolor paintings. His influences included the landscape artist Winslow Homer, American philosopher and naturalist Henry David Thoreau, and filmmaker King Vidor. Wyeth's wife, Betsy, managed his career and was a strong influence in his work. His son Jamie Wyeth is also an artist. One of the best-known images in 20th-century American art is his 1948 tempera painting Christina's World, which is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He is also known for The Helga Pictures and his paintings of windows. In addition to being awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1988, Wyeth was the first painter to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the first American artist since John Singer Sargent to be elected to the French Académie des Beaux-Arts.

- VTG JEAN LOUIS PREVOST FLORAL PRINT - PINK ROSES IN OVAL FRAME - 14x12 in W/ FRAME Relatively little is known of the life of Jean-Louis Prévost the Younger, who was born into an extended family of artists who were particularly known as still life painters, and which included his brothers Jean-Jacques and Guillaume. Born in Nointel, near Beaumont-sur-Oise in northern France, Jean-Louis Prévost studied with the flower painter Jean-Jacques Bachelier at the Manufacture Royale de Sèvres and exhibited his work for the first time at the Académie Royale at the age of fourteen. Devoting himself mainly to paintings and watercolours of flowers and fruit subjects, Prévost was, together with his brothers, commissioned by the fermier-général Jacques-Jérémie Roussel to paint the plants and flowers in the gardens of his château at La Celle-Saint-Cloud, near Versailles, resulting in the twelve-volume compendium of around 1,800 gouache studies known as the Horti Cellensis Plantarum Icones, acquired by the Natural History Library in Paris in 1782. A member of the Académie de Saint-Luc, Prévost became known in particular for his botanical watercolours, which were regularly shown at the Paris Salons. In 1791 Prévost began work on another volume of forty-eight botanical watercolours, which was eventually published, in several portfolios, with the title Collection de fleurs et fruits, peints d’après nature par Jean-Louis Prévost, et tirés de son portefeuille in 1805. Although highly accurate, these works were not overtly scientific in nature and were intended for the use of designers of fabric, embroidery and porcelain. By the middle of the 1790s Prévost had been granted accommodation in the Manufacture des Gobelins on the rue Mouffetard in Paris, where he lived for some thirty years. Many of Prévost’s watercolours were reproduced, with great sensitivity, as coloured prints by the stipple engraver Louis-Charles Ruotte. Works by Prévost are recorded in several important private collections in France in the late 18th and early 19th centuries - notably those of Louis François de Bourbon, the Prince de Conti, Augustin Blondel de Gagny, and Pierre-Louis Eveillard, Marquis de Livois - and a large number of gouaches by the artist are today in the collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.

THE ORIGINAL IS HOUSED AT THE rijksmuseum IN AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS From 1855 to 1864 Artz trained with J.H. Egenberger and Louis Royer at the Amsterdam Academie.[1] There he met Jozef Israëls, whose fishing subjects were to be a lasting source of inspiration for Artz. He worked with Israëls in Zandvoort in 1859.[1] Unlike Israëls, however, Artz depicted only the more cheerful sides of the fisherman's life. From 1855 to 1864 he was a member of the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam.[1] Technically, he distinguished himself from Israëls in his use of sharp outlines and bright colour. Between 1866 and 1874 Artz stayed in Paris where he set up his own studio at the suggestion of Courbet. Constant Artz, the son Adolph Artz, was born in Paris, France in 1870. Constant Artz[2] followed in his father's footsteps and became a skilled painter. In Paris he maintained close contacts with his colleagues Jacob Maris and Frederik Hendrik Kaemmerer as well as the art dealer Goupil & Cie. During this period Artz produced mainly fashionable genre scenes and a number of Japanese subjects. His control over line and colour became more powerful. In 1874 he returned to The Hague where he was a member of the Hollandsche Teekenmaatschappij and in 1879 he was awarded the Order of the Oak Crown by William III of the Netherlands.[1]

- FRAMED "PARIS STREET I" BY VALERY GROMOV - NO. 291/295 - HAND SIGNED - 26x31 in W/ FRAME. Born in 1964, in Kovrov, Russia. Valery Gromov, A.K.A. Jerome Valery, was the great-grandson of an accomplished artist. Surrounded by the art of his relative, regaled with stories that related the paintings to specific areas of his own childhood experiences, he studied the subjects captured on canvas, learning what inspired his great grandfather. Graduating from the Donetsk Art College in 1983, he began to work as a designer at the Donetsk Art & Décor factory, creating decorative art for the private sector, official buildings and public spaces, but still painting for his own satisfaction. Later participating in The “Young Artists’ Exhibition” in St. Petersburg, Russia, a professor from St. Petersburg Academy of Art encouraged him to begin preparations for the Academy’s entrance exam. In 1993 he was accepted as a student of an esteemed Professor Kichko, participating in annual exhibitions for the Academy’s students during his five-year studies. Valery’s own life was lifted when he met his future wife. She lived with her parents in a small military town just outside of St. Petersburg and brought to his life much needed peace, beauty and love. They married and have two daughters, Lubov (“love” in Russian), and Irina (“peace” in Greek). Gromov continually learns from their excitement in the world surrounding us. He learns anew how to get carried away by their love and curiosity. Starting in 2000 Valery Gromov has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Marseilles, Strasbourg, St Petersburg, Nant, Paris, and many other European cities. It is with great pride that we now introduce him the United States of America.
