Bachman Estate Sale

This auction is from the Estate of Mrs. Mary Bachman and her late husband, who passed before her.  As a matter of fact, she went to college with my mother back in the '40's, as she told me this prior to her death. 

I've been in the Auction business for many years.  In fact, my father started in 1957 and I trapesed around and later helped even as a kid.  In all those years, and all those auctions, I think this is the best auction I've ever seen. 

Not because it's someone's collection of high dollar antiques and collectables...... it's not!  It is because it is the story of a family's life. 

The Dresden China set, you can just imagine the joy and pride it provided a woman, or the one-horse braking plow some old man bragged about to his friends, the hex barrel .22 rifle that provided meat for the table before spending decades under the bed. 

There is stuff from her husband's family. There are history and items from her parent's family farm, all stored for years, then passed on to the household she and her husband cultured until the end.  It was so interesting as we un-boxed it.  Some of the items have not seen daylight for many years, picturing them living life though generations of happiness, hard times and hard work was humbling.

It's all here now, basically several generations of a family's life on display for you to admire and incorporate into your life and your family heritage.
