1 - Atlas Shrugged 1957 First Printing Hardcover Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Random House hardcover first printing from 1957. The book is in nice condition. The dust jacket shows some light wear to the corner tips of the spine and at the top and bottom right corners. Hardcover binding with original dust jacket as issued. A significant first edition release from a major 20th-century author, it is bagged to maintain condition.

1a - Isaac Asimov I, Robot First Edition 1950! First edition, first printing of "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov, published in 1950 by Gnome Press. Only 5,000 copies were printed that year. The book is a legendary pillar of science fiction and recognized as one of the most significant novels in the grenre. This copy includes the original dust jacket, designed by Edd Cartier, which shows some slight creasing and minor wear to the spine and corner tips, but remains presentable with minimal blemishes. The book itself is in fantastic VF condition and presents clean interior pages with clear text. Hardcover binding with red boards and black stamping. A key collectible for science fiction literature.

2 - Fahrenheit 451 First Printing Soft Cover 1953 Ballantine Books soft cover first printing of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 from 1953. This legendary novel is complete and intact, with some light creasing to the top right corner, surface scuffs alongside the spine, and a chip at the bottom of the spine. The pages and backing are in good condition overall. The book has been bagged for protection to help maintain its current state.

3 - Quotations from Chairman Mao 1966 1st Ed First edition, first printing of 'Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung' published by the Foreign Languages Press, Peking, in 1966. The book has a red cover, measures 5 inches by 4 inches, and contains 312 pages. It is noted to be in very well maintained condition with minor or minimal blemishes, if any. This smaller format early edition features all original content and presentation as published.

4 - Six Early 1970s H.P. Lovecraft Soft Cover Lot Six H.P. Lovecraft soft cover books from the early 1970s, all bagged for preservation. Included are: (1) 'The Spawn of Cthulhu' edited by Lin Carter, Ballantine Books 1st edition with Gallardo cover, exhibiting waving, light creasing to the bottom right corner and spine; (2) 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth and Other Stories of Horror' by H.P. Lovecraft, first printing, with light stain to the back cover and a small pen mark on the front piece; (3) 'A Look Behind the Cthulhu Mythos' by Lin Carter with Gallardo cover, minimal blemishes; (4) 'The Dunwich Horror and Others' by H.P. Lovecraft, introduction by August Derleth, Rowena cover, in nice condition; (5) 'Fungi from Yuggoth and Other Poems' by H.P. 5 - Isaac Asimov Pebble in the Sky First Edition Isaac Asimov "Pebble in the Sky," hardcover first edition, first printing, published in 1950 by Doubleday and Company. Cover art by Richard M. Powers. The book is in very fine and clean condition with excellent, complete pages. The dust jacket hasme slight browning and foxing on the backing, as well as creasing and minor to moderate wear on the spine. All points of a first printing are present.

6 - In Cold Blood First Edition, T. Capote Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood," published by Random House, first printing first edition. Includes the original dust jacket, which is in very clean, sharp condition with minor wear to the top and bottom of the spine. The book itself is in very good condition plus to fine minus condition, showing a small, minimal scuff residue to the first page center and a slight, faint bit of foxing to the bottom page edges. Hardcover, maroon boards with "TC" stamped on cover, and all corresponding first edition points present.

7 - 6 Rare Pablo Picasso, 1930–1935 Cahiers D’Art/Lith Two copies of the large softcover volume '1930–1935' by Pablo Picasso, published in 1936 by Cahiers D’Art, Paris. Each book is complete, featuring tipped-in content, actual photograph of Picasso in very fine condition on the first page, rare photographs, poetry by Picasso, works from Salvador Dalí and additional artwork. One copy shows some foxing and light discoloration. Also included is 'Colors of Masters Picasso' hardcover from 1946, with paintings and drawings in very nice condition and dust jacket. The lot further comprises three hardcovers: '3XX Panorama 70', 'Panorama 71', and 'Panorama 72 SIECLE North 34, 36, and 38', each containing original lithographs and in very nice condition with paper slip sleeves covering the binding.

8 - Native Son First Edition by Richard Wright First edition, first printing of "Native Son" by Richard Wright, published by Harper & Brothers in 1940. This edition is confirmed as a first printing by the presence of the "first edition" statement, the year 1940 on the title page, and the AP on the copyright page. The book is in VF/F plus condition. The original dust jacket is present and has light wear to corner tips, as well as tears to the bottom left edge near the spine and the top of the spine above the title. Recognized as an important novel in American literature.

9 - Very Rare Tallis's Illustrated Plan of London 1851 Extremely rare (especially in this condition and intact), John Tallis's Illustrated Plan of London & its Environs in commemoration of the Great Exhibition of Industry of all Nations, 1851. This hardcover edition features hand colored views surrounding all borders, linen backed, and folds into original pictorial gilt covers which remain intact and attached to the binding. The map appears never to have been fully unfolded, an especially rare attribute. Includes some minor wear to the spine at the top and bottom and light staining to the back. Recognized as a notable work by one of the greatest map and atlas makers of London.

10 - Signed H.Hoover 1942 1st Ed. Problems OLP First edition, first printing of 'The Problems of Lasting Peace' by Herbert Hoover and Hugh Gibson, published by Doubleday, Doran & Company in 1942. This hardcover copy is autographed and personalized by authors Hugh Gibson and also signed by President Herbert Hoover. There is no dust jacket present. The book is in very good condition, with noticeable sunning to the spine and light cover wear, consistent with its age. The interior is clean, with a strong binding and personal inscription to the front endpaper.

11 - J. Baldwin Go Tell It On The Mountain 1st Print First printing, first edition of James Baldwin's iconic and influential novel "Go Tell It On The Mountain," published by Knopf in 1953. This copy includes the original dust jacket, which remains clean, intact and exhibits only minor blemishes and se off-white backing. The book itself features extremely clean white pages and a very presentable cover, making it a notably well-preserved example compared to many others available on the market. "Go Tell It On The Mountain" is recognized as an important part of American culture and literature.

12 - Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat 1st Ed. Edition The original first printing, first educational edition of 'The Cat in the Hat' by Dr. Seuss, published by Random House in 1957. The book confirmed as a true first edition, with the 200/200 price printed at the top of the dust jacket flap, and features the unglazed matte paper with single signature binding. The dust jacket shows some staining, including areas of foxing. The book itself is in nicer condition but does have a pen marking at the top left of the first page and a miniature pencil mark/scuff on a page toward the centerfold. This is a first edition, first printing with no dust jacket included. The book is in fine/near fine condition, exhibiting only minor rubbing to the top and bottom edges of the cover. The pages remain white and clean with some typical pen and pencil markings on the first introductory page. 14 - Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, 1894 The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, published in 1894 by The Century Company, New York, and printed by the Devinne Press. This hardcover book features gilt elephant and tiger illustrations on the green cloth covers and spine. The copy is intact but does not include a dust jacket. The book remains intact, with binding secure, but shows varying levels of condition, blemishes, minor scuffs, and mostly light stains throughout. 18 - John Locke An Essay Concerning Human (c.1700) John Locke's "An Essay Concerning Human Understanding" fourth edition (c. 1700), foundational in philosophy for arguing that human knowledge derives from sensory experience and reflection, rejecting innate ideas. This edition is highly valued by collectors as the first to name Locke as the author and introduces two new chapters. Hardcover binding is intact with brown cloth; pages are intact with mostly good edges and sides, exhibiting some browning, minimal stains, and typical color fading. 20 - Boswell’s Journal of a Tour to Hebrides (c.1700s) Hardcover copy of "The Journal of a Tour to the Hebrides, with Samuel Johnson, LL.D. Second edition by James Boswell," published in London by Henry Baldwin for Charles Dilly. This edition dates from the 1700s and features marbled boards with red leather corners and spine, gilt decoration on the spine, and green endpapers. The title page confirms the work's authorship by James Boswell, detailing his journey with Samuel Johnson. The cover and pages show only very light age-related wear and minimal spotting consistent with a book of this era. This is a notable example of 18th-century travel literature.

20a - 20 Early Tarzan & Burroughs Books, 1918-1963 Extensive lot of Tarzan and other Edgar Rice Burroughs items, including a 1918 Grosset & Dunlap hardcover of 'Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar' in fine/near fine condition with gorgeous dust jacket, vibrant colors, and minimal edge wear. Also included is 'The War Chief' by Edgar Rice Burroughs, an A.C. McClurg & Co. hardcover from 1927 without a dust jacket, but noted for its excellent condition. The lot features numerous early trade paperbacks, among them 'Tarzan and the Valley of Gold' and several Ballantine editions from around 1963, such as 'Tarzan of the Apes,' 'Tarzan and the Ant-Man,' 'Jungle Tales of Tarzan,' and 'The Return of Tarzan.' Multiple copies and doubles are present, as shown, with many first printings and perhaps a few second printings, including some with Frank Frazetta cover art.

The first is "The Year of the Barricades: A Journey Through 1968" by David Caute, published by Harper and Row New York. This volume is a first edition and exhibits very little wear. The set is translated from the French of Lesage by T. Smollett, MD. Each volume is leather bound with gold edging and embossed covers. The spines of all three books exhibit wear due to storage.
