Selling: A remarkable single-owner, lifetime collection of 153 instruments, with a particular focus on classical acoustic guitars from the Estate of Jim Trotta. This carefully curated auction includes pieces by renowned luthiers such as Hermann Hauser III, José Ramirez, Kenneth Hill, Enrico Peretti, and many others.

A passionate musician and dedicated student of Brazilian jazz, Jim Trotta devoted much of his life to the study and appreciation of the guitar. His musical journey brought him into contact with some of the most influential figures in the world of classical and jazz music, including Stan Getz, Andrés Segovia, and Antônio Carlos Jobim. He also enjoyed a close friendship with legendary guitarist Charlie Byrd, whose pioneering fusion of jazz and Brazilian music reflected many of Jim's own musical passions.

This collection represents a lifetime of discerning acquisition, scholarship, and devotion to the art of the classical guitar, offering collectors and musicians a rare opportunity to acquire instruments of exceptional craftsmanship and musical significance.
