All in 14K rose gold settings. Solitaire includes EGL Gemological Laboratory Certificate # US901737404D stating that it is a natural diamond having H color, SI2 Clarity, and no fluorescence. Lot: 12 - Trisko Jewelry Modernist 14k Yellow Gold, 45ct Tanzanite and Diamond Omega Chain Necklace L 19"

A bold, statement  necklace having a stunning 45.54ct cushion cut tanzanite and channel-set, round, brilliant diamonds within removable geometric links by Trisko Jewelry on a domed, Omega chain.  Only the the bars of the necklace were created by Trisko, the omega chain is by an unknown Italian maker. Chain is marked 14kt ITALY with unknown hallmark to the back of the clasp. Bowl having a finely detailed repousse motif of floral sprays and leaves. Engraved in large centered crest: "1951, Laurel, the Washington Handicap, 1¼ mile, Won by Blue Hills", Dia 13", H 7".  The 1951 Washington Handicap was on October 20, 1951, at Laurel Park Racecourse in Laurel, Maryland. It was the final running of the historic event in which Blue Hills, owned by Charles B. Bohn, won a closely contested race that went down toe the wire. Inaugurated in 1911, the Washington Handicap was once an elite racing event that attracted Triple Crown champions like War Admiral and Whirlaway.  Charles B. Bohn (1880–1953) was a prominent Detroit industrialist. He was the founder, president, and board chairman of the Bohn Aluminum and Brass Corporation and served as chairman of Michigan National Bank. He was also a principal stockholder and president of the Detroit Racing Association from 1933 to 1935.
