Will offer for sale for Mary Ann Springer (wife of late Larry Springer) of Hagerstown, MD, at GATEWAY GALLERY AUCTION located at 643 Kriner Rd., Chambersburg, PA by SEALED BID. 

All Bids are Due August 14, 2026 by 5:00 PM EST

MOVIE POSTERS: 100’s of theater release movie posters 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and modern movie posters from 1980s & 1990s

LOBBY CARDS: Approximately 15 boxes photo copy lobby cards

PRESSBOOKS / AD SLICKS: Approximately 45 boxes of a collection of showman’s manuals, press books, ad slicks. Many press kits are complete, some have ads cut-out or are missing sheets

FILM / EQUIPMENT: Approximately 180 boxes of a wide selection 8mm and 16mm film in original cans and film equipment. Names marked on metal cans may not match film inside.

MAGAZINES: Approximately 25 boxes of press magazines.

POSTER FRAMES: Approximately 12 poster frames, most sized at 22” X 28”.

MOVIE STANDEES: Approximately 25 movie standees and other large cut-outs.

AUCTIONEER’S NOTE: Mr. Springer amassed a very large selection of movie memorabilia. This encompasses the remaining items from Mr. Springer’s collection. This collection is being sold by sealed bid auction. The auction provides a unique opportunity to submit your highest and best offer for this collection. The winning bidder will have the chance to purchase this collection at a price they determine through the sealed bid process.

BIDDING PROCESS:

1.   Submit your sealed bid: To participate in the auction, submit your bid in a sealed envelope to the address below.

2.   Required documents: Your bid must include the following:

a.   Your full name, mailing address, phone number and email address

b.   Your highest and best bid amount

3.   Bid submission deadline: All bids must be received by 5 pm EST, August 14, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.

TERMS: Cash, check, Visa, MC, Discover accepted. 10 % Buyer’s premium applied to winning bid. Collection being sold as a unit. All bidding done by photos. Reasonable requests for additional photos will be considered. Any photos taken will be added to online photo gallery. There will be no in-person previews and no picking. Winning bidders is responsible for pick-up and complete removal of collection.
