We are excited to announce our 33rd Annual Carolina Country Store Auction! For all three days of the event, we will offer live in-house bidding, absentee and phone bidding as well as internet bidding options. The Day 2 session will showcase our featured Tobacciana items

General Information

Preview Times:

Public viewing for our Annual Carolina Country Store Event will begin Monday August 3rd through Wednesday August 5th, 8:00 AM. Registration, absentee and phone bidding, seat reservations, and item inspection will be available during these hours.

Showroom Gallery viewing will begin at 8:00 AM daily during this event.

Parking Lot Trading:

Parking Lot trading will be available for pre-registered bidders only. Sale tax numbers must be on file for all vendors that are participating. Trading will begin at sunrise each day of event: Day 1 August 6th , Day 2 August 7th, and Day 3 August 8th until 9:45 AM. All RVs, trucks, and oversized trailers are welcome.

Hotel Accommodations:

If you are an out of state visitor, please make reservations at Hampton Inn, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites located in Mebane. Other local hotels and campgrounds include The Acorn Suites, Fairfield Inn and Suites, The Inn at Bingham School, Jones Station RV Park, Wishing Well RV Park, and Cassidy Hills RV Park. Other accommodations are available throughout Burlington and Durham/Chapel Hill NC.

Lot 3002 Vintage Sunbeam Bread Batter Whipped Tin Litho Door Push Sign: Mid-20th Century; Original, 15” height, 29.25” width, Single-sided tin litho door push sign titled “Sunbeam Batter Whipped” with artwork of open loaf of Sunbeam bread with Little Miss Sunbeam eating toast. The sign has scattered scratches, and the pull shows paint loss with some surface rust. Otherwise, it appears to be in very good original condition with bright colors throughout. Please view photos. Lot 3310 Air King Ivory Plaskon 'Skyscraper' 770 Radio Harold Van Duren: Early 20th Century; Original, 12.5” height, 9” width, 6.75” depth; Classic Air King Skyscraper design stamped on back Model 871, which appears to be same as Model 770. The base retains its original label reading, "Made from Solka Means Quality – Brown Company." This is a more unusual version equipped with a tuning eye. The chassis appears complete with tubes with slight surface rust. The radio has not been tested, and is being offered in as-found condition with no electrical restoration. The Cabinet has a 2” crack on the hood above tuning eye. The front of the cabinet has very tiny crazing, two of four knobs are original, and the dial also shows some crazing. Lot 3382 Rare Kendall The 2000 Mile Oil 12 Inch DS Round Sign A-M 55 Enamel Paint: 1955; Original, 12” diameter; Rare double-sided (DS) 12 inch dealership sign “Kendall / The 2000 Mile Oil.” The lower edge has “AM 7-55” with artwork of the famous two-finger hand logo of Kendall Oil. The sign has artwork of a red field, white lettering with black shadowing with two factory grommets. Mahogany Cigar Store Fixture: Late 19th Century; Original, 97” height, 96” width, 20” depth; Beautiful and rare example made by Brunswick Balke Collender Co of beautiful mahogany woods, and an ivory inlay in an arts and crafts style. There are beautiful crown moldings throughout and the example is marked in center “Brunswick Balke Collender Co.” This two-piece cigar cabinet features five hinged upper doors in the top section with center opening flanked by two hinged compartments with interior dividers. Base has two upper visible hinged door drops with two blind panels matching below with galvanized metal interior, with a center drawer and blind hinged door. Overall condition is complete with all matching original hardware and structurally sound. This is an outstanding example in its original condition.
