...Meet Jim Wagner!

Jim was born on a dairy farm in 1952 in the Dakota Township of Waushara County. He has been in the area most of his life except for 9 years he spent in western Montana living a lifelong dream. Growing up on the farm meant going to auctions with his father. Jim would sit and listen to the auctioneer as he sold item after item and from that point on, he knew that was going to be his life's ambition.

In 1982 that ambition became reality. Following a motorcycle accident that left him without his speech, it was when the doctors said he would never talk again that Jim got busy to prepare for the future. A miracle recovery gave him his speech back overnight and he decided that auction school was for him. One of Jim's mottos became 'but for the grace of God go I' and here he is today.

In 1982 Jim went to auction school. After graduating top of his class, he would find an auction barn, and work for free just to get the feel of the real thing. Shortly after, he created his own auction service known to this day as "AMERICAN AUCTION" and went off on his own.

Jim has conducted successful auctions in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Montana. Along with being a licensed Auctioneer in Wisconsin, he is also a licensed real estate Broker working with Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Wautoma. In his opinion selling personal property as well as real property goes hand in hand. His love of people and knowledge of the business have proven to be a winning combination. He understands the needs and wants of both clients and customers with his main goal of having happy and satisfied sellers and buyers after each sale. Jim is a member of the National and Wisconsin Realtors Associations, and the Wisconsin Auctioneer Association.
