Hello and thank you for visiting my AuctionZip page! I am a second-generation auctioneer - licensed and bonded for over 35 years. I am the current owner of the West Fairfield Auction Barn (in New Florence, PA).
In 1972 Colonel Harry R. Boring (my father) founded the West Fairfield Auction Barn. In 1974 I became his apprentice, after which, I received my auctioneer’s license in 1976. We spent many years working together as a father-daughter team, running weekly auctions at our barn and doing estate sales.
In 1993, when my father went into "semi-retirement," I did the same. The weekly auctions at our auction barn continued, but were run by Colonel Gene McLean and his son-in-law Larry Hendrick.
Sadly, on July 22, 2011 Gene passed away. As a result, Larry and I started working together. I also freelance with Col. Mark D. Ankney (Double A Auctions) and other great auctioneers when I can.
Gene always called our building “Boring’s Auction Barn.” Whether it is called “Boring’s Auction Barn,” or the “West Fairfield Auction Barn,” it remains the same building, with the same down-home, friendly atmosphere.
