Hello and thank you for visiting my AuctionZip page! I am a second-generation auctioneer - licensed and bonded for over 30 years. I am also a member of the PAA. I have been the owner of the West Fairfield Auction Barn (in New Florence, PA) since 2002.
In 1972 Colonel Harry R. Boring (my father) founded the West Fairfield Auction Barn. In 1974 he sponsored me as his apprentice. In 1976 I received my auctioneer’s license and we worked together as a father-daughter team from that time on. He and I ran weekly auctions at our auction barn, as well as on-site auctions of estates and businesses. Through the years we have sold everything from antiques, collectibles, lumber yards, hospital equipment, farm equipment, new merchandise, the ever-dreaded curtain stretchers, and even a gold-filled tooth! You never know what it going to show up at an auction!
In 1993 my father went into semi-retirement. I had a full-time management job, so I decided to do the same. The weekly auctions at our auction barn continued, but were run by our good friend, Colonel Gene McLean. Gene likes to call our building “Boring’s Auction Barn.” Whether it is called “Boring’s Auction Barn,” or the “West Fairfield Auction Barn,” it is the same building, with the same down-home, friendly atmosphere.
In March of 2009 I lost my management job of 31 years when my employer relocated our offices to Ohio. Losing my job allowed me to devote more time to doing what I love most - auctioneering.
My service to you, as an auctioneer, will be to provide you with my experience, honesty, hard-work, reliability and trust. I believe that every auction situation is unique and I will treat you with the respect and sensitivity that your particular situation deserves. If you are in need of an auction, or just thinking about having one, you can feel comfortable calling me at (724) 235-2688.
