 Our Story
Let me introduce you. Herb was a country kid from the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. He remembers his first auction well. He bought a banjo for $3. The year was 1955.

By 1963, he had migrated to Greenwich Village via Newark, NJ ("forget about it"). He was 15 years old and always thinking.
He persuaded a merchant on Orchard Street to sell him sharkskin suits for $11.25 wholesale. He sold them to his classmates back in New Jersey for $35.

By 1968, he was taking antiques from Pennsylvania to stores in the Village in his Volkswagen van. One thing led to another....
Now as the owner and auctioneer of Concepts 1 Auction House, and partner of Cameo Appearances in NYC, Herb doesn't have a spare minute.
