Doug Dalton has been a full time Auctioneer for 34 years. He started his auction career after graduating from the nationally recognized Detroit Art college “Center for Creative Studies”. The Bachelors degree in Fine Art was the perfect field of training for the young auctioneer to use as he assisted families in marketing estates filled with generations of Fine Art and Antiques. Doug has conducted over 5000 auctions with over 1 million items crossing under the auctioneer’s hammer. Besides Independently working his own auctions, Doug has worked for the Frank H Boos gallery . Also, Doug has conducted hundreds of charity auctions and raised over 3 million dollars for organizations such as the Michigan Humane Society, Detroit Symphony, Detroit Rotary, Ann Arbor Art Association (winefest..30 years straight), ALS of Michigan, Night for Sight and others. Besides auctioneering, Doug is a certified appraiser of Fine Art and Antiques, and is a member of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America.
