This Auction shall take place, as ordered, by the heirs to settle the Estate of Walter & Sylvia Rutkowski. They owned & operated Walter's Drug Store on Goddard in Romulus for 27 years. Walter was known as quite the collector by many in the area and he rarely bought one of anything..... Antiques and Vintage Collectibles were a passion of his so be prepared to bring a friend along on auction day.

3-13-2013 Update- We started working in the barn today and are posting a bunch of photos. It is so packed in there that we have to clear out and stack to make isles to work. We haven't scratched the surface yet, so if you like what you see so far, then you should definitely mark you calandar now for this auction..

4-2 & 4-4-2013- We have now managed to get through the lower part of the barn, basement in the home and shed. WOW!!!!!!!! There is an awfully large amount of vintage and antique tools and vintage farm related items EVERYWHERE. More than 200 Planes, More than 100 Saws, 20+ Vices, Unknown qty. of horse related Collars, Horse Hames, Bits, etc., Antique Wheels of many types, Vintage Wagon(Disassembled but may be complete(Wooden Hubs), Cast Iron items of many types. Literally HUNDREDS of Antique & Vintage Tools (MANY SIGNED), We found Antique Tool Collector Books and Magazines in barn near some of the early signed tools...

4-9-2013- We finally got through all of the piles and hiding places in the barn, finding several other collections including Antique/Vintage Locks and Railroad keys, another 50+ planes, Singed Keen Kutter,Winchester and other signed items, Collection of Tobacco & Corn Knives, Collection of 1 and 2-man saws, Scale collection including Scales/Cart, Brass 1000lb Fairbanks, Original Paint & Stenciled Steel Wheeled Cart and Corn Sheller(Signed w/label), Large Wagon with seat(may be complete), more Horse related items, Barrels full of antique tools(yet to go through & box up). There will be many surprises for those in attendance. The beautiful porcelain stove is still burried behind furniture, we have a partial photo showing how clean it is. We also found many more vintage/antique hanging lamp fixtures and numerous antique/vintage boxes of hardware and a single bottom/horse drawn plow in the attic. The shear amount of stuff is overwhelming, so, bring your trucks/trailers and be prepared for a long day... See you at the auction.

4-16-2013- We headed into the basement of the house, thinking it would only take a couple hours, it is now 6PM and we found many more great items including a EXCELSIOR ARNOLD SCHWINN BIKE and Vintage Bicycle accessories along with several other antique Locks w/Keys, Antique Cast Iron Tools, more planes, brass engine oilers, hatchets, broad-head primitive axes, primitive farm items, a box full of very old horse bits(some fancy), vertical mail boxes, more counter scales, canning jars, bottles, and many collectible small items. You DO NOT want to miss this exciting auction of items that have been squirreled away for more than 40 years.
