Wm. R. (Bill) Borden, J.D.,CAI, Broker, Auctioneer, IOFC Member, In 2002 Bill Borden became the first resident of the State of Georgia to complete the Iditarod Sled dog Race, The Last Great Race. Bill finished the 1,151 mile race in 14 Days, 4 Hours, 10 Minutes and 14 Seconds entering the record books as only the 540th person in the world to finish the longest sled dog race in the world. Bill and his wife Brenda founded the 501 (c) 3 public charity, Cool Dreams, Inc. that carries the message to school age children all over the Untied States that thought proper planning, perseverance and faith many dreams are possible. The life lessons learned in the Iditarod carry though to every day life. Bill is also a certified PADI scuba dive master, scoutmaster, and cub master. Bill and his wife Brenda, have a son, Jordan Ross, a daughter Satina, and three grandchildren with one more on the way. Bill and his team have been honored with proclamations and resolutions from mayors, judges, the senate, house and governor, a parade after the finish and even a city limits marker.
Bill’s undergrad degrees both are in the real estate his Doctorate of Jurisprudence has an emphasis on real estate. He holds the highest designation a Real Estate Auctioneer can hold, the CAI, the highest level of designation for the auction profession, a three year course of study at Indiana University. He has been in the real estate profession all of his life with the origins of his company found in his family’s real estate company established in 1939. Bill, originally from Kentucky, was the youngest licensed Broker in the Commonwealth at 19 years of age. Bill has sold commercial and residential real estate in Georgia and Alaska for over 30 years. In the 80’s Bill obtained Life Membership in the Million Dollar Club in fact having sold over six million dollars worth of real estate in just one month for several consecutive months. In 1989, Bill sold his real estate appraisal company, which at the time was the largest in Georgia, however still holds a Certified General Real Estate Appraisal License, the highest level of license in the appraisal profession. He holds Broker and Auctioneer licenses in several states. Daily Bill helps families and businessmen achieve their dream through the proper management real estate wealth. Bill is one of a unique few, a Finisher of The Last Great Race, Alaska’s IDITAROD. The planning and perseverance it takes to be one of less than seven hundred people in the world to complete this task goes a long way in proving the dedication Bill has and that he can find the best real estate and mortgage solution for his clients.
