November 2015 began professional auctioneer Colonel Phil Riner's 38th year as an Estate & Business Auctioneer, Appraiser, Liquidator, & Food Broker.
While in auction school he appeared in a special TV news report about auctions. Because he sings, Phil's clear auction chant was easily developed.
Phil is known for being diligent in producing high returns for his clients.
A Christian businessman active in his church, his reputation for integrity and fairness is equally well known.
Riner auction events have included the estates of: Richard Caward, 20 year private chef to billionaire Malcom Forbes; 1930-40's actress and stage performer Dorothy DeClue Wylie; living estate of Faith Whittlesey, 2-time U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland & a White House Senior Staff member; Piper Aircraft expert and adviser Maurice Taylor; multi-millionaire advertising executive & philanthropists John & Ellie Miller; and thousands of auctions for satisfied clients.
Riner provides auctions for most any need, including estates, businesses & manufacturing facilities, and sells antiques, jewelry, guns, coins, autos, art, & collectibles.
Mr. Riner is often guest auctioneer for charitable & civic fund-raising events and guest speaker for a variety of venues. During a cruise he taught the "Seminar At Sea" course he created concerning Auctions and the Resale Market. The seminar produced 4 auctioneers. One attendee opened an antiques store.
When Phil Riner personally discovered a handwritten George Washington letter in a Lakeland, FL estate he received worldwide media attention for the auction and grossed 8 times what the executor had been offered.
An auction in Lake Wales, FL surprised estate trust officers when the Riner auction produced $50,000 more than the appraised value of the home. Phil subsequently wrote an article for the Florida banking and trust magazine.
April 2016 marks Phil and wife Debbie's 34th wedding anniversary. They have 3 sons: Chase, Colby, & Carson. Carson attends Summerlin Academy in Bartow, is on their Lacrosse team, & works in the family auction business. Colby graduated University of Central FL (UCF) Dec 2015 with a Criminal Justice degree and a 4.0 average. He plans to work with the State of FL.
