Ross Auction is the oldest auction company in Colorado. We have had an auction every week since 1921, and maybe even more incredible is that we sell 800 to 1000 items each week. In 2008 we began selling on Friday and Saturday, splitting the Miscellaneous and Box Lots out to be sold on Fridays.
I came from Houston,Texas in 1998 to purchase Ross Auction from Marie Ross who was in her early 80's and still working every day. Although I have now been in the auction business for 11 years, it wasn't until 2005 that I attended the first World Wide College of Auctioneering class held in Denver. Now I get to auction a couple hours each week selling the Friday Auction, but still have Adam Kevil, Steve Ket, Gabe Gabriel or Gary Lockhart calling the Saturday Auction.
I believe that 2009 will be an interesting year in the auction industry and I am glad to be along for the ride. |
