18th C. Hallmarked Sterling Kings Crown Venison Covers & Under plates .Hallmarked to interior of lids: RC for Richard Cook left faceing lion Date letter M for 1787 Has a kings Crown for handle on top of each cover- one handle has 3 hallmarks also has a crest with writing that states: Camperdown Secundis Dubiisque Rectus. Has same crest on under plates, Under plates are not hallmarked,but tested as silver. Covers are app. 8" tall and 15 1/2" across and 10 1/2" wide , trays are 16 3/4" long and 11 1/2" wide. Total weight of both covers and trays is 191.22 troy ozs.
