The side of the pig is incised St. Louis the future Great / The most Reliable / Railroad and River Guide / With a little good old Bourbon in (arrow points to bottle spout) / By / Anna Pottery / 1888. Anatomically correct underside. Map includes: Miss River, Chester, G. Tower, M & O, Purcy, short line, Springfield, Bloomington, C & A RR, Topica, Rock Island, Sasalle, ICRR, Cairo, Anna, Carbondale, Duquoin, Tamaroa, Centralia, Odin, Tunnel Hill, P & AP, vincenes, Champaign, Kankakee, Pullman, Chicago the Corn City, Mound City, Cincinnati the Pork Packing City. Made at the pottery of Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick in Anna, Illinois. Minor chip on spout. Otherwise mint condition. Length 7 3/4.
