I understand things happen.....

I buy online.

I won 2 jewelry tray lots on Sept 4th.

Payment was processed on Sept 6th.

1st follow up checking on the shipment, Sept 17. I was told it will be shipping next week.
2nd follow up Sept 23. I was told it will be shipping out Friday.

Earliest I am going to see this is around October 1st.

This is an auction house I have been frequenting for a while with now issues.

Starting to have my concerns.

I can only suggest attending live auctions... then you can take your purchases with you, right after you pay for them.

Unlike ebeigh, where an individual may have maybe a few items that they sold in one day and it may only take an hour or so to pack them up and take them to the post office -- real auctions typically have a couple of hundred (or more) items being sold in one day. Most auction companies are small "family" type businesses and that often means that most of the work is probably done by the auctioneer and a spouse. Considering there are only so many hours in the day -- and so many other things that also have to be done -- I can see where it could certainly take a couple of weeks to get a hundred items packed, labeled and shipped.

When one thinks things through, it's not hard to understand the old adage of "walking a mile in someone else's shoes."

Of course, I have more than enough to do, just trying to keep up with running a live weekly auction... much less considering the added burden of packing and shipping stuff to others. That's enough reason for me, not to do online auctions.

We had an auction this past Saturday and out of the 32 boxes we had to ship out we only have 7 left and that is due to non-payment as of yet.

Our rule is to get the items shipped out within 1 business day after the invoice has been paid.

The time you have been waiting is UNCALLED for

Only 32?
That's a pretty small number compared to a typical auction that may likely have 300 lots or more.

Of course, that "non payment" thing is another reason I prefer to stick to live auctions.

its was 32 boxes to ship out many of the boxes had several lots in them, the auction had just over 550 lots and we sold 1/3 of them to online bidders, plus online bidders drove up the prices on several lots as well.

we are down to 2 non-payers and I have talked to them both and they are going to "PAY" so we will see
