At A Live Auction, I Tell First Time Bidders Keep Your Hand Up until we Say Sold,(Remember Nobody Likes A Quitter!) Don't Worry How Much Your Spending, My Cashier Is Keeping Track For You.

On A serious Note, If its a Live Auction, You May Want to Go to a Couple Auctions, Just To watch first, Be sure to Listen Or Read All Terms of the Auction, Is There A buyers Premium?, Removal Time For Items Purchased?, Is Everything Sold As-is? Terms Of Payment?, Etc. Talk to the Auctioneer Or Staff Before Auction , Ask Any Questions You May Have, Before the Auction, Once the Auction Starts, The Staff May Not Be able to Answer You Then. Set a Limit For What You want to Buy, Generally I suggest Let Someone Else start the Bid, This way You Don't Look so Anxious, Keep to Your Budget, And There Shouldn't Be any Regrets. When You Bid Make Sure the Auctioneer Sees You Bidding, Raise Your Buyers Number, Then Once They See You, They Will Come Back To You On Bid Increments, Once Other Bids Come In.
Just Remember, Ask Any Questions You May Have First, Once The Auctioneer Says Sold To You, It's Yours. Have Fun at the Auction & Good Luck!

When attending an auction, focus on the numbers. Don't try to make any sense out of the filler words. The numbers will tell you how much the auctioneer has and how much he wants. Let the auctioneer know you are new at this. If he is a good auctioneer he will kind of keep his eye on you to see if you are getting confused about anything.

If I have a new person in attendance, it is to my advantage to "babysit" them a bit because I want auctions to be a pleasurable experience for that person.

My suggestion is not to bid on any items from Another's Treasure Auction House. I had bid and won two items on July 5th and never received my items. I tried calling the auction gallery to find out where my items were and all 8 times I called I was told that the auctioneer would call me back. Well I never got that call nor did I get my items, but they were sure to get their money for the item and for the shipping. STAY AWAY FROM THAT AUCTIONEER ( FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE AUCTION) Out of NC.
