William Steig (American, 1907-2003), original cartoon drawing for The New Yorker Magazine. Signed under the character's foot with run size written in pencil across bottom of the illustration. Pre-computer illustrations were drawn larger and reduced on camera for page placement. Dimensions are: 9 7/8 inches tall X 8 inches wide; 25.08 cm tall X 20.32 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
