Stylistically similar to John Shapland and possibly done in conjunction with Shapland and his friend John Henry Sweet. Subject is a landscape of hills reaching the shoreline with wildflowers in the foreground. Signed in the lower left quadrant of the painting. Reverse has stamped date of Jan 10, 1947. Dimensions are: Frame size: 13 inches tall X 17 1/4 inches wide. Sight area: 7 1/4 inches tall X 11 3/8 inches wide; 18.41 cm tall X 28.89 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
