The co-authors, Zenya Taniguchi and Yoshimasa Kimura, became acquainted with Shirase when they were students at Takushoku University. Shirase became the institute’s first president while he, Taniguchi and Kimura remained colleagues and friends for life. THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST AND MOST SIGNIFICANT ITEMS IN THE COLLECTION AND THE ONLY KNOWN COPY IN EXISTENCE. When Chet Ross presented this copy to Zenya Taniguchi for his validation, he stated not having seen another copy since shortly after publication.
