the mahogany case with reverse painted tablets, the brass 8-day time only weight driven movement was likely made by Elnathan Taber for them as it has the typical shaped click with finger latch, dial signed "Simon Willard & Son, No. 4689"

Completely original. The cast iron dial dirty with minor flaking, small rub mark to throat glass, duck bill lead weight and wood finial, small repair to side of case by lower door hinge, runs a few minutes before stopping.
