A beautifully carved carnelian depicting Jupiter (Greek Zeus) as an eagle in front of Ganymede. Greek mythology tells that Zeus took the beautiful boy from Phrygia up to Mount Olympus to be a cupbearer for the gods. The carnelian is set in a late 19th to early 20th century ring shaped from 80.1% gold (equivalent to 18K+). Size (carnelian): 0.49" L x 0.49" W (1.2 cm x 1.2 cm); (ring): 0.58" L x 0.86" W x 0.92" H (1.5 cm x 2.2 cm x 2.3 cm); gold quality: 80.1% (equivalent to 18K+); total weight: 7.0 grams; US ring size: 9
