We are very pleased to showcase the most valuable, and collectible of all the Fenton Art Glass Black Rose offerings. The Fenton Black Rose line was short lived, being introduced in July 1953, and discontinued at the end of May, 1955. Only (10) forms were produced with the original Ivory luster finish and the unique combination of the Black Crest + the Peach blow interior. Our rare example was only offered from July, 1954 to May, 1955, and has the deep flared ridges, prominent ring, and being pre 1970, there is no base mark! There was such demand for this vase, that Fenton reproduced it for the QVC network in both 1992 & 1997, and even those are quite expensive. For the true Fenton collector, this is the real deal in wonderful condition. Margaret & Ken Whitmyer list the vase at $475-$550 in their classic Fenton Art Glass Patterns 1939-1980 (2nd edition). Measures 4x3.25x10.50. 1 Pd 11 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of a Litchfield Connecticut Antique & Art Dealer.
