PAIR OF ENGLISH FREE-BLOWN OPAQUE-TWIST STEM WINE GLASSES, colorless lead glass, waisted ogee bowls atop straight opaque twist stems with a 12-ply spiral band outside a pair of spiral tapes; conical feet with rough pontil marks. Circa 1765. 5 7/8" H, 2 3/4" D foot larger.

  • Excellent condition, the example with wider foot having one small nick each at the rim and the foot; the other example with a small bruise and shallow chip at outer edge of foot, plus a distended bubble at rim, as made.
