Estate lot of three Victorian Staffordshire character Toby jugs, exemplifying 19th-century British craftsmanship. The lot includes John Bull, a symbol of British pride in period attire; a seated figure holding a beer and pipe; and a jovial character clutching a pitcher. Approximate measurements range from 9 1/4" to 10". The John Bull jug bears an impressed Rd number on the underside, while the other two are unsigned.
